Mahasarakham University History

Mahasarakham University also known as MSU is a Thai education institution located in Kantharawichai, Mahasarakham province. The university was established in 1963 as Mahasarakham Teacher Training College and was conferred university status in year 1994. The university presently enrolls over 40000 students.

Mahasarakham University comprises of 2 colleges, 9 research centers, and 18 faculties offering a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Some of the courses on offer include Education, Social Sciences, Business, Fine Arts, Tourism and Hotel Management, and Law.

Mahasarakham University also offers programs in Architecture, Creative Arts, Urban Design, Engineering, Informatics, Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, Music, Politics and Governance, Veterinary Sciences, and Environment Studies.

Mahasarakham University Campuses

Mahasarakham University is based on two campuses called the Downtown Campus and Kham Riang Campus which are located in Kantharawichai, Mahasarakham Province in Thailand. The Downtown campus is the original campus of the university spread over an area of 145 acres. It offers various services to students including library, common areas, and laboratories.

Mahasarakham University has another campus in northwest of the city which is spread over an area of 513 acres. The campus is the administrative headquarters of the institution and also houses most academic faculties and research centers of the university.
