Mahidol University History
Mahidol University was established as the University of Medical Science in 1943. Later it was renamed after Prince Mahidol of Songkhla who is considered as the Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand.

The University comprises of 17 faculties, 6 colleges, 9 research institutes. The faculties offer programs in mainly Health Sciences, Science and Technology, Social Sciences and Humanities. These form the core fields of study at Mahidol University. The colleges offer courses in Management, Music and Sports Science and Technology.

The University located in the capital city of Bangkok comprises of 4 campuses namely Bangkok Noi campus, Phaya Thai campus, Salaya campus, Vipawadee campus, and 3 provincial campuses namely Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, and Amnat Charoen.
