Shizuoka University History

Shizuoka University was established in the year 1949. It is a national university which is situated in Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan. It is formed by the merger of Shizuoka High School, Shizuoka Teacher Training Institutes 1 and 2, Young Teacher Training Institute and Hamamatsu College of Technology.

Shizuoka University Programs, Courses and Schools

Shizuoka University is organised into six academic faculties along with Graduate Schools and a law school. It offers undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs. Students can also opt for research, study abroad programs, professional degree programs and double degree programs.

The university is known for education in engineering and innovation and technology. The university has got research institutes, affiliated schools and an Institute for Joint Research and Education. Faculties of the university are highly skilled and qualified.

Shizuoka University Campuses

Shizuoka University has got two campuses, one in Shizuoka City and other in Hamamatsu City. The campus is highly secure with the amenities like academic building, student affair building, university hall, student support centre, research building, healthcare centre, gym, athletic fields, museum and gym. Student clubs and circles help the students to develop their personality. Cultural events and workshops are organised in the university throughout the year.
