South Kazakhstan State University History

South Kazakhstan State University is also known as M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University or SKSU is rural university in the city of Shymkent, Kazakhstan. The university was established in 1943 and is recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

South Kazakhstan State University Programs, Courses, and Schools

South Kazakhstan State University offers higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study through its 8 faculties. The faculties include Natural Sciences, Physical Education and Sports, Pedagogy and Culture, Philology, Building and Transport, Mechanical and Petroleum Engineering, Jurisprudence and International Relations, and Evening and Distance Studies.

South Kazakhstan State University is also home to schools such as School of Business and Management, Agriculture Sciences, Information Technology and Sciences, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, and Food and Textile Engineering.

South Kazakhstan State University is located in the city of Shymkent in Kazakhstan. The university comprises of 457 classrooms, 130 laboratory classrooms, and 49 computer labs. There are currently over 1540 computers on-campus which provide Wi-Fi internet facility to the students.

South Kazakhstan State University is also home to the Linguistic Centre and Career and Marketing Centre offering foreign language classes, promotion of university graduates for employment in enterprises and organizations, and career counseling services.

South Kazakhstan State University has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The acceptance rate range is 40 to 50% making the university an averagely selective institution. The students are also eligible to receive state grants to reduce the burden of the tuition fee. Currently, over 6000 students of the university are on state grants.
