University Malaysia Perlis History

University Malaysia Perlis is one of the prestigious public university located in Arau, in northern peninsula of Malaysia. The University was established in the year 2001. The university was initially started for rendering higher education in the field of technology and vocational courses. Earlier the University was known as University College of Engineering & Technology Malaysia and got renamed as University of Malaysia Perlis.

University of Malaysia Perlis comprises of nine faculties and many schools and colleges. It also owes several Institutes and Departments. It offers 37 Bachelors, 20 Masters and 12 Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Business administration Engineering, Biotechnology, Applied Sciences, Finance, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Business Innovation, Agro technology, Human Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Strategic Management, Industrial Engineering, Bio process, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Information Management, Computer Science, Techno Communication, Biochemical Technology and many more.

The Dormitory in the campus is huge and can accommodate many students. Apart from this student can perform various sports activities in the lake.
The library of the University is very big and computerized and well equipped with latest version of books, e-books, foreign journals and documents. Apart from this the University boasts 9 greenhouses.
