University of Duhok History

University of Duhok is one of the esteemed public research university located in Duhok, Iraq. The University was founded in the year 1992. The University was initially started by the Parliament of Iraq inorder to render higher education in the Kurdistan region. It initiall started with a very small number of students, presently the University is catering several students. The University is known for its course in Medicine and Agriculture.

University of Duhok Courses and Schools

University of Duhok is composed of eighteen colleges, sixteen faculties and many departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Applied Sciences, Medicine, Architecture, Arts, Designing, Law, Sports, Business Studies, Economics, Education, Medical Biology, Administrative Sciences, Education, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Languages, Computer Sciences, Sports, Tourism, Hospitality, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Veterinary Sciences, Dentistry, Information Sciences, Liberal Arts, Technology, and many more. The University is a member of IAU, EAIE, AARU.

University of Duhok has a huge urban campus. The hostel rooms available for studentsare fully equipped. The Campus represents state of art infrastructure and is furnished with computer laboratories, Theatres, Stores, Cafeterias, fitness centre and a Sports activity club.
The library of the University is very big and digitalised and well furnished with latest version of books, electronic databases, mandates, journals and articles.
