University of Pisa History

The University of Pisa is a public research university Situated in Pisa, Italy. It was officially established on 3 September 1343. However, a number of scholars confirm that its origin dates back to the 11th century by an edict of Pope Clement VI. The University is part of the Pisa University System, which includes the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies.

University of Pisa Campuses

The University of Pisa development continued under the dynasty of Lorenas. They completed the construction of the astronomic observatory by enriching the University Library with important publications, and by developing the Botanical Gardens and Natural Science Museum also they set up new chairs, such as Experimental Physics and Chemistry.

The University of Pisa offers a certain number of Scholarships to International students who are willing to enroll in any Master Degree Course held in English. The students will be accommodated in shared rooms for the first three months for free also they are provided with a complimentary 40 hours Italian Language Course. To avail, this scholarship students should be enrolled in any Master Degree held in English at the University of Pisa.
