University of the Balearic Islands, main campus is located in Carretera de Valldemossa. The University has 2 off campus the first off campus is Centre of Ibiza and Formentera. The second off campus is Centre of Minorca. It also has Sa Riera hall wherein all the cultural activities, events, take place.

University of the Balearic Islands,Dra. Sintes has been awarded with the Rotary Ramon LIuLL award from the Rotary Club in 2018. Princess of Asturias Award for technical and scientific research, awarded to Rainer Weiss, Kip S. Thorne, Barry C. Barish, and LIGO Scientific Collaboration.Dra. Sintes has received the 2016 Menorca Award for equality in its fifth edition for “her example of the incorporation of women in research, teaching and management of Science”.
