University Tenaga Nasional UNITEN History

University Tenaga Nasional UNITEN was established in the year 1999. It is a private university with GLC status which is situated in Selangor in Malaysia. Its history can be traced in 1976 where it started as Institut Latihan Sultan Ahmad Shah, then changed to Institut Kejuruteraan Teknologi Tenaga Nasional and then gained its current recognition.

University Tenaga Nasional UNITEN is organised into five colleges which offers learning in multidisciplinary departments. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Students can also opt for research and innovation studies, diploma, preparatory courses and certification courses.

Faculties teaching in the university hold master’s or doctoral degree with training in their area of study. Other courses offered by the university include specialisation courses, foundation program, professional education and executive education. It has got a high employability rate of 94% within six months of graduation.

University Tenaga Nasional UNITEN covers two campuses with main campus in Putrajaya in 214 hectares. Each campus has an urban architecture. Campus services include transportation, student support services, internet connectivity, recreational area, dining, athletic arena, theatre, healthcare centre, auditorium, personality development centre and campus security. Students can have skill grooming by becoming the part of student clubs. Cultural events are organised throughout the year.

Databases, computer systems, tutorials, training rooms, tutorials, auditorium, classrooms, self renewal services, sitting area and help centre are accessible.
