Zhetysu State University History

Zhetysu State University is a public research university established in Taldykurgan, Kazakhstan. The University was founded in the year 1972. The University was initially started as a state institute of teachers by the Republic of Kazakhstan, in order to render higher education in the Almaty region. It initially started with as a small pedagogical institute, at present the University is catering several students for their higher education.

Zhetysu State University is composed of five faculties and two departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Applied Sciences, Pedagogy, Philologists, Linguistics, Elementary teaching, Information Sciences, Liberal Arts, Technology, and many more. The University has many international affiliations too. It is accredited by Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
