National Agrarian University History

National Agrarian University was established in the year 1902. It is a public and national university which is situated in Lima in Peru. It was started as National School of Agriculture and Veterinary Science, but then changed to National Agrarian University- La Molina and then to its current name. It gained its university status in 1960.

National Agrarian University Programs, Courses and Schools

National Agrarian University is categorised into eight academic faculties, twelve departments and six research institutes along with inter institutional co-operations and affiliations. Students are educated in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Students can also opt for study abroad program.

Additional courses provided to the students include language trainings, research studies, short courses, refresher courses, professional specialisation courses, continuing education, virtual learning program and pre-university training. It is best known for agricultural, biological and forestry sciences.

National Agrarian University Campuses

National Agrarian University is framed with suburban infrastructure of 550 acres area and is equipped with all the up to date provisions. Students are provided with amenities like recreational area, auditorium, cafeterias, classrooms, meteorology centre, crop fields, dairy, transportation, museum, labs, wellbeing department, sports facility, gym, chapel and theatre. Students can become the part of student clubs and unions. University press publishes books, journals and newsletter.

University library is stocked with books, magazines, study material, research guides and training books, repositories, catalogues, exam guides and periodicals. Other library services include sitting area, study room, webinar and training centres, self renewal services, computer labs and printing access.

National Agrarian University Achievements and USP

National Agrarian University is one of the most important universities of the region and is best known for its agricultural and forestry studies. It is nationally and internationally ranked at higher spots. The Times Higher Education has ranked it among top 500 universities in its impact ranking and at 73rd spot in its Latin American Rankings. It is ranked among the top 20 universities of the country. It comes among the top 30% universities of the world.

Students are offered with scholarships, grants and loans as financial assistance for their higher studies. Students have to apply for these and meet the set criteria.
