Nihon University History                                       

Nihon University is a Japanese higher education establishment located in Chiyoda, Tokyo. The university was established by Yamada Akiyoshi serving as the Minister of Justice as Nihon Law School in 1889. It is one of the largest universities in the country and currently enrols over 70000 students and employs 5000 plus staff.

Nihon University Campuses

Nihon University is based across multiple campuses in Kanto region as well as Fukushima Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture. The main campus in Chiyoda is spread over an area of 600 plus acres and houses the university’s administrative headquarters. The university also runs an international campus in Newcastle in the state of New South Wales, Australia.

Nihon University is also ranked amongst top 500 institutions globally to study Medicine by QS World University Rankings by subject. QS also rates university’s research potential as high in addition to its academic and employer reputation.

Nihon University has been lauded with a number of programmatic accreditations from various bodies such as Japan University Accreditation Association and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.

Nihon University also offers a range of scholarships to students in order to assist them with tuition fee costs. The university also boasts of a low student to faculty ratio of 29:1 and offers smaller class sizes.
