University of Alcala History
The University of Alcala also known as Universidad de Alcala is a Spanish university located in Alcala de Henares. The university was established in 1293 as Studium Generale and eventually re-established in 1977. Presently, the university enrolls 28,000+ students and teaching staff of over 2600.

The University of Alcala has three campuses – Historical Campus, Science and Technology Campus, and Guadalajara Campus. University of Alcala’s other campuses house faculties of Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing and Physiotherapy, and student halls of residence.
