University of Moratuwa History

University of Moratuwa is one of the esteemed public university located in Katubedda, Moratuwa, Srilanka. The University was founded in the year 1972. The University has its origin way back in the year 1893. The University was formerly known as Ceylon College of Technology and in the year after Ceylon achieved its independence the University got upgraded and was named as University of Moratuwa. It is known for its exemplary efforts in Science and technological Programs.

University of Moratuwa Courses and Schools

University of Moratuwa is composed of ten Schools and institutes, two faculties and many departments. It offers Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate degrees in the disciplines of Architecture, Arts, Designing, Law, Medical Biology, Administrative Sciences, Education, Health Management, Spatial Sciences, Sports, Tourism, Hospitality, Music, Sports, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Communication Sciences, Medicine, Liberal Arts, Politics, Technology, Law and many more.
