The University of Salerno is a state-supported university which is located in Fisciano and in Baronissi in Italy. The University was established in the year 1968.

The University of Salerno offers multiple courses to students, there are 36 courses in EQF6, 37 courses in EQF7, 5 programs in master’s degree (5 Years), 2 programs in master’s degree (6 Years) and 16 Doctoral Programs. The University also includes Italian language courses, International teaching, and Ph.D. programs. The University has 10 faculties.

University of Salerno Campuses

University of Salerno, main campus is located in Fisciano while the faculty of Medicine is located in Baronissi. The campus has very ancient origins surrounding. The Campus has art and architecture buildings. As of May 2010, Salerno University has had a new communication tool intended for the Campus and the surrounding area: a WebTV channel that gives space to events on Campus, regional and national news slots, thematic programmes and regular broadcasts.

University of Salerno Achievements

The University of Salerno was awarded the "DS Label 2013-2016" by the European Commission as recognition of the excellence within the implementation of the Diploma Supplement. The University came up with the journal Culture e StudidelSociale is a scientific journal that provides a space of discussion and reflection (theoretical and empirical) among scholars, operators, and civil society, humanities, and social sciences. Research results should have an important impact on a political decision, on processes of formation, change, and development, as well as on the integration of theories and paradigms.

University of Salerno, In the 2018 ranking the University of Salerno , which came just a year ago in the standings, it ranks in the top 400 of world universities, ranking the 69th place , fourth among Italian and first university of Centrosud in the ranking of world universities young, in perfect consistency also with the national ranking of "Il Sole 24Ore".The Academic Ranking of World Universities - Arwu, a world ranking published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University which compares around 1,200 academic institutions, has included the University of Salerno among the top 500 universities in the world.A standard Italian Doctoral fellowship of about 1100 euro per month will be granted to the selected Doctoral Student who will also benefit free tuition fees, freeboard, and lodging.
